 Hotel Pick-up (Diani Beach / Tiwi / Msambweni / Ukunda)

  • Early morning pick-up from your coastal hotel or lodge.

  • Scenic drive through palm-lined villages to Shimoni, the tour’s launch point (approx. 1.5–2 hours from Diani).

  • En route: short briefing on marine conservation and day’s activities.


 Arrival at Shimoni Jetty & Boarding the Dhow

  • Arrive at the Shimoni harbor and meet your crew.

  • Board a traditional wooden Swahili dhow, fully equipped with safety gear, shade, and comfortable seating.

  • Receive snorkel equipment and a safety briefing before departure.

 Dolphin Spotting Along Wasini Channel

  • Cruise through dolphin-rich waters around Kisite Marine Park.

  • Watch for bottlenose and humpback dolphins, often seen in pods near the dhow.

  • Your guide will explain dolphin behavior and marine life in the area.

Note: Dolphin sightings are frequent but not guaranteed, as these are wild animals.

 Guided Snorkeling in Kisite Marine Park

  • Anchor inside Kisite Marine National Park, a no-fishing zone known for its pristine coral reefs.

  • Jump into clear, shallow waters for a guided snorkeling experience.

 Optional Cultural Walk or Relaxation Time

  • Choose how to spend your early afternoon:

    • Take a guided walk through Wasini village to learn about Swahili culture, local traditions, and marine conservation projects.

    • Or simply relax by the sea, take photos, or explore the rocky coastline.

Return Dhow Cruise to Shimoni

  • Reboard the dhow for a gentle sail back to Shimoni Jetty.

  • Enjoy the breeze and one last chance to spot dolphins or marine birds.

 Optional Visit to Shimoni Slave Caves (Time-Permitting)

  • Visit the Shimoni Caves, once used during the 18th–19th century slave trade.

  • Learn about the area’s somber history and efforts to preserve the caves as a national heritage site.

 Return Transfer to Hotel

  • Depart Shimoni and begin return journey to Diani or surrounding areas.
